Dawn-Breakers Toastmasters Club and The Youth Gavel Club donate 70 bottles of detergent to Ronald McDonald House in Decatur.

As soon as a volunteer at Ronald McDonald House, who is also a member of Dawn-Breakers Toastmasters Club in Decatur received an email requesting detergent, her first thought was to ask club members to take this on as a community project. The club goal was for 50 bottles but within two weeks 70 bottles of detergent was donated. The staff at RMH was astounded and highly appreciative of the bountiful generosity; this was the largest product donation from a single community organization.

President Jesse Caudle says he knew the Clubs would respond. “Members care; we exist to serve the community.” Dawn-Breakers has been community focused since it was chartered nineteen years ago which is one reason why the award winning Gavel club was formed to give our youth a voice and a chance to be leaders in the community.

Dawn-Breakers Toastmasters (www.dawnbreakerstm.com) meetings are every Saturday at 9:30AM. The Gavel Club meets every Tuesday evening at 7:30. Both clubs meet at the Family Life Center at Beulah Baptist Church at 2340 Clifton Springs Road, Decatur and are open to the public, guests are always welcome.
