Love Lift Lead Evangel Seminar
By: Janice Reese
womensdaybrunch

Beulah Missionary Baptist Church will host a three-day Evangel seminar as part of the “Love, Lift, and Lead” others to Christ campaign.

The seminar, encompassing a two-fold mission, is designed to focus on equipping and informing the members of the body of Christ about the ease, opportunity, and readiness to witness about the love of Jesus Christ.   First, the event will serve to awaken in Christians, through scripture, awareness that they are all Evangels; in that, an Evangel is simply a person who has accepted the “finished” work at Calvary and is committed to the responsibility to share the Christian gospel. There will be singing, praying, teaching and sharing of the gospel through a continuous atmosphere of fellowship and praise.

Secondly, the seminar will serve to encourage Evangels to fulfill the Great Commission to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those with whom they encounter in everyday life.  The Great Commission is accomplished by reaching out to those nearest and dearest to us – whether family and friends, community members, or even those with whom we fellowship within the church walls.  As such, the seminar will feature short breakout sessions and live skits to magnify the many opportunities to witness, as well as, exemplify the simplicity of the many ways that witnessing may be accomplished.

Day One’s Theme is “LOVE” (Kickoff begins with Mid-Week Baptism Service).  Evangels need Jesus to love God, family, the lost, and even the Body of Christ.

Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 that the LOVE of Christ constrains or binds us to spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ in that He died for “ALL” that they that live should not live for themselves, but for Him that died and rose again. That awareness further compels us to speak the truth in love, wherein, “Day Two’s theme – LIFT”- will unfold.

Day Two’s Theme is “LIFT” (Opening meeting at 6:30pm).  Jesus said in John 12:32, “If I be lifted up, I’ll draw all men unto me”.

Evangels will be reminded that Jesus did ALL the heavy lifting AT CALVARY.  They need only be mindful to consistently and intentionally lift the word of God, and share their own personal testimony of Jesus, His power, and His leadership in their own lives which will serve to inspire others to believe in the saving grace of our Lord Jesus and in the finished work of the cross.

Day Three’s Theme is “LEAD” (Opening meeting at 6:30pm).  Evangels inspire others to have faith in the work done at the cross which leads others to accept God’s desire that all men be saved.

Inspiring others to have faith in the work done at the cross leads them to come to the knowledge of the truth of Jesus Christ, to believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that not only did Jesus die in their place and take their sins, but also that God raised Him from the dead, and as such, they can be saved.  Join us for this spirit-filled event on September 26-28, 2012.
